How would you describe this character's personality?
At the beginning of the play in scene one and two, Romeo comes across as quite depressed and sad. This is for the reason that he is in love with Rosaline and his love for her is unrequited, but Romeo is still determined to make Rosaline love him until he finds Juliet.
How is this character viewed by other people in the play?
Romeo as a character in the play in the first two scenes he is seen as very depressed and sad about Rosaline. His cousins see him as sad because of his unrequited love for Rosaline so that is the reason why they sneak him into the Capulet party.
What relationship does this person have to others in the play?
Romeo has relationships with most of the people in the play, Romeo has a mother and a father, Lord Montague and Lady Montague he also has a cousin, Benvolio and a best friend by the name of mercutio. Romeo also has a servant Balthasar and he is in love with Rosaline who is a Capulet. These are the only relationships that we have come across so far.
What does this character's main role seem to be?
Romeos main role in this play is that he falls in love with Juliet, but at the moment we have only read up to the 2 scenes and so far he is in love with Rosaline and is the son of Lord Montague and Lady Montague.
